The design of our sailor suits was born from our extensive study of Navy uniforms and vintage children's sailor suits from the early 1900s. The top, known as a middy, features a the traditionally-constructed collar from the age of sail, these tops are made from twill, the favored weave of the Navy. Cut generously in the chest and arms so kids don't have to fight their way into them.
Our pants feature a decorative six button, broad-fall look in keeping with the traditional U.S. Navy bell-bottoms but without the hassle of all thirteen buttons. Like our middies, they are made in Oregon from twill, the favored weave of the Navy. The elastic back and non-functioning buttons make these pants easy to get on, and the sturdy polyester cotton blend will stand up to your little sailor's roughest play—aloft or on deck.
Handmade in Oregon of the sturdiest materials.
